Thiru.M. Namasivayam
Founder-Chairman
Thiru.M. Namasivayam, Founder-Chairman of Anjalai Ammal-Mahalingam Engineering College was born on March 15, 1927 at Thanjavur in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. He was blessed with three daughters and a son. He started his career as a clerk in the Railway department. Due to his Zeal and hard work, he acquitted himself with credit and earned the appreciation of senior officers. His indefatigable energy and administrative ability marked him out for appointment as auditor in Southern Railway. His thoroughness and devotion to duty marked him to the prestigious position of General Secretary, Southern Railway Mazdoor Union. As a General Secretary, he had to toil hard to uplift the living standard and working environment of Railway Mazdoors.
He portrayed his firmness with tact and organized All India level strikes during the years 1958, 1962, 1972 to get bonus for Railway Employees. After evaluating his excellent career graph, his efficiency, sincerity, hard work, leadership qualities and man-management, he was adorned with the position of Vice President, All India Railway Member Federation, New Delhi.

Dr. K. Velmurugan

“A passionate educator with over three decades of experience, dedicated to inspiring and empowering students through a truly student-centric approach.”
Dr. K. Velmurugan completed his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathiar University in 1992. He later earned his MBA (Systems–IT) from Bharathidasan University in 1999, followed by an M.E. in Software Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy in 2003.
He was awarded a Ph.D. by Anna University in 2013 for his research titled “Performance Aware Implementation and Selection of Web Services.” In 2009, he presented his research work at an international conference held at Shanghai University, Shanghai, China.
With over 30 years of teaching experience, Dr.K.Velmurugan has made significant contributions to academia. Dr.K.Velmurugan is known for his student-centric approach and his ability to connect with learners. He is highly regarded by students and consistently receives excellent feedback from the student community. He has published numerous research papers in international journals and conferences, along with patents. He is a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and a member of the Computer Society of India (CSI).
In addition to his academic work, he has authored two books published through Amazon KDP and shares educational content via his YouTube channel, velchanneltutor. He is currently guiding research scholars at Annamalai University and Amity University, Bengaluru, with one scholar from Annamalai University having successfully completed and been awarded a Ph.D.
His journey continues on “Empowering students to learn, grow, and excel beyond boundaries.”
